About the venue:
|
The countryside around Blackburn and Darwen is an original source for much of the distinctive and delicious food and drink famous across the world. The local produce boasts an amazing array of flavours unique to Pennine Lancashire. Choose from traditional Lancashire delicacies such as world famous black pudding, warming hot pot, sarsaparilla and beer!
The Barlow Institute itself is a red brick building in the centre of Edgworth Village built by Sir Thomas Barlow and his brothers and sisters in 1909 as a memorial to their parents and is frequently used by local clubs, societies and classes of all kinds.

Directions:

From Blackburn town centre, proceed down Darwen Street and continue forward under the bridge on to Park Road (A6077). Continue forward through the roundabouts on to Brandy House Brow and then Roman Road towards Darwen. Continue forward onto Blacksnape Road and then Blackburn Road, entering Edgworth. At the crossroads turn right onto Bolton Road (signposted Turton, Bolton). Barlow Institute is on the left.
Due to its rural location, parking in the centre of Edgworth is not recommended. Please see park and ride information below.
